What inspired you to become a teacher?
“I volunteered and worked in schools in various roles—from substitute to tutor to educator—giving me the opportunity to observe and learn from incredible teachers in different settings. Along the way, I met transformative educators who taught with passion and excitement, and I admired and learned from them. One principal, in particular, left a lasting impression, often saying, ‘If you want to change the cycle or make a difference, provide a child with an education.’ That belief has stayed with me and continues to drive my work in the classroom.”
